Dr. Patel and each member of the Brace Place clinical team take cleanliness and sterilization very seriously. There is no laziness when it comes to disease control and cross contamination.
Gloves and masks are worn for every clinical procedure. Only brand new brackets, wires and a-ties (colors) are used for every patient. Dr. Patel does not use recycled brackets or wires.
All instruments are steam sterilized using an autoclave. To reach even higher than expected standards, spore tests are taken regularly with an outside laboratory to assure effective sterilization. Please ask to see our sterilization procedures using the state of the art Hu-Friedy IMS (Instrument Management System) cassettes during your initial visit.
